Trees! Trees! Trees! Arbor Day is an event dating back to the late 1800's that celebrates the importance of trees. The Arbor Day celebration includes any activity involved with the planting of, caring for, or education about trees!
This year's celebration will include an array of activities for everyone including community tree plantings, FREE seedling give-a-ways, children’s activities including flower pot painting, making pinecone birdfeeders and recycled watering cans, a visit from Smokey the Bear, proper tree care advice, rain barrels, and the opportunity for all participants to browse and purchase seasonal plants and trees to fill their yard and garden at the “Green Market”. All festivities will take place on the Willie McTell Trail (in front of French Quarter) on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 10am-1pm. ALL VOLUNTEER SPOTS ARE FILLED. PLEASE EMAIL KBB@KEEPBULLOCHBEAUTIFUL.ORG FOR MORE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES.
Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to get outside and celebrate Arbor Day with your community, friends, neighbors, and family! Click here to see event flyer.
