Meetings
Keep Bulloch Beautiful holds regular meetings monthly, and they are open to the public.
Most meetings are on the second Monday of the month at 5 p.m. Quarterly lunch meetings are on the second Wednesday of the month at noon (March, June, October*, December). All meetings take place at the Bulloch County North Main Annex Building located at 115 North Main Street in downtown Statesboro. (Annual meeting – location may change.)
In addition to the upcoming events listed below, KBB also maintains a list of smaller projects throughout the community in need of completion.

Bring One for the Chipper
Keep Bulloch Beautiful and Anderson’s General Store want to “chip” in and help you get your house back in order after the Christmas holidays. Keep Bulloch Beautiful reminds you to participate in “Bring One for the Chipper” event, from 9am to12pm, during which you can recycle your Christmas tree after the holidays.
Some volunteers will be responsible for collecting trees from cars, while others will be responsible for handing out whatever token KBB chooses to present to individuals who recycle.

Arbor Day Celebrations
Arbor Day helps to create awareness and appreciation of the many benefits trees provide us. Arbor Day reminds us of the significance and importance of trees in our communities. The last day to sign up to help with this event is Wednesday, February 13, 2013

Children’s Water Festival
The Children’s Water Festival is an annual educational event, focused on water science and water conservation that is targeted to fourth grade students. Students will learn about water quality, the water cycle, and how they can limit waste and pollution in their daily lives. Activities will include: classroom activities, professional water entertainers, indoor and outdoor activities, as well as a snack/break station. This festival is a hands-on, educational experience for students and teachers.
The last day to sign up to help with this event is Monday, March 11, 2013.
Volunteers will assist classes in finding their activities, act as classroom assistants, and providing any other additional help that is needed.

Great American Cleanup
The GAC is the nation’s largest cleanup and is an annual event. The event includes a beautification project, recycling project and a day-long cleanup. It is hard to believe another year has gone by and the Keep Bulloch Beautiful (KBB) office is getting prepared for the 2011 Great American Cleanup! This year is extra special because KBB will be celebrating the 11th anniversary of hosting Great American Cleanup in our community. Over the last 9 years through the Great American Cleanup, over 13,000 volunteers have contributed around 51,000 hours of service to clean up more than 199,000lbs of trash! The last day to sign up to help with this event is Saturday, April 20, 2013.
Volunteers will primarily be responsible for collecting debris from highways and public areas.
Tailgate Recycling-TBA
Keep Bulloch Beautiful is once again hosting it tailgate recycling program at all GSU home football games, and we need your help to make the program a huge success this year.
Be on the lookout for volunteers passing out recycling bags and for the recycling bins that will be set up in the tailgating area at the game this Saturday. The last day to sign up to help with this event is 2 weeks prior to each home game. Volunteers will assist in setting up/breaking down recycling bins beside each dumpster, handing out blue recycling bags, and manning the KBB information booth.
Rivers Alive –TBA
Rivers Alive is an annual waterway cleanup event focused on removing litter and debris from the Ogeechee River and its tributaries, ultimately creating awareness of and involvement in the preservation of Georgia's water resources. Volunteers will meet at Mill Creek at 9am to have breakfast and gather supplies. The event will take place from 9am-12pm. The last day to sign up to help with this event is Monday, September 24.
Volunteers will primarily be responsible for collecting debris from around the boat ramp areas, and the river banks.
Recycle on the Square-Friday, November 01, 2013 from 5:30pm-8pm
KBB is teaming up with the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority (DSDA) for November 2th’s F1RST Friday, Recycle for Statesboro from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. This event will showcase all things recycling, including an electronics recycling drive and a recycling scavenger hunt for the kids. Public art in the form of miniature billboards made by GSU students from recycled materials.
America Recycles Day-TBA
Each year on November 15th, Keep Bulloch Beautiful highlights the many benefits of recycling by celebrating America Recycles Day (ARD). ARD is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and buy recycled products.
