Keep Bulloch Beautiful holds regular meetings monthly, and they are open to the public.
Most meetings are on the second Monday of the month at 5 p.m. Quarterly lunch meetings are on the second Wednesday of the month at noon (March, June, October*, December). All meetings take place at the Bulloch County North Main Annex Building located at 115 North Main Street in downtown Statesboro. (Annual meeting – location may change.)
In addition to the upcoming events listed below, KBB also maintains a list of smaller projects throughout the community in need of completion.

Bring One for the Chipper
Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 9am-1pm
Keep Bulloch Beautiful and Anderson’s General Store want to “chip” in and help you get your house back in order after the Christmas holidays. Keep Bulloch Beautiful reminds you to participate in “Bring One for the Chipper” event, from 9am to1pm, during which you can recycle your Christmas tree after the holidays.
Some volunteers will be responsible for collecting trees from cars, while others will be responsible for handing out tree seedlings to individuals who recycle.
Runs February 18th- April 30th 2014
3:30pm-5:30pm Everyday of the week.

Monday- Mattie Lively Elementary School
Tuesday- Langston Chapel Elementary
Wednesday- Julia P. Bryant
Thursday- Mill Creek Elementary School
Friday- Sallie Zetterower Elementary School
Volunteers needed: 3-5 per day
Volunteers will help assist Community Garden Coordinator and children with activities at school gardens.
**Background checks are required to volunteer.

Children’s Water Festival
Friday, March 21, 2014 from 9am-1am
The Children’s Water Festival is an annual educational event, focused on water science and water conservation that is targeted to fourth grade students. Students will learn about water quality, the water cycle, and how they can limit waste and pollution in their daily lives. Activities will include: classroom activities, professional water entertainers, indoor and outdoor activities, as well as a snack/break station. This festival is a hands-on, educational experience for students and teachers.
The last day to sign up to help with this event is Monday, March 10, 2014. A 30-45 minute training session will be required a week before the event on Wednesday, March 12th.
We offer two sessions: 1:30-2:30pm and 5:30-6:30pm at GSU's Russell Union Room 2047
Volunteers will assist classes in finding their activities, act as classroom assistants, and providing any other additional help that is needed. Signup HERE and we will contact you via email!
Great American Cleanup/ Arbor Day Celebrations
Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 9am-1pm
The GAC is the nation’s largest cleanup and is an annual event. The event includes a beautification project, recycling project and a day-long cleanup. It is hard to believe another year has gone by and the Keep Bulloch Beautiful (KBB) office is getting prepared for the 2014 Great American Cleanup! The last day to sign up to help with this event is Saturday, April 19, 2014.
Volunteers will primarily be responsible for collecting debris from highways and public areas. You can signup HERE!
Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 9am-1pm
Rivers Alive is an annual waterway cleanup event focused on removing litter and debris from the Ogeechee River and its tributaries, ultimately creating awareness of and involvement in the preservation of Georgia's water resources. Volunteers will meet on the courthouse lawn at 9am to signin and receive assignments. The event will take place from 9am-1pm. Lunch will be served between 11am-1pm. The last day to sign up to help with this event is Monday, September 29.Volunteers will primarily be responsible for collecting debris from around the boat ramp areas, and the river banks.
America Recycles Day/ Junk2Funk Fashion Show
Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 7pm
Each year on or around November 15th, Keep Bulloch Beautiful highlights the many benefits of recycling by celebrating America Recycles Day (ARD). ARD is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and buy recycled products.
Plans are underway for the 4th Annual JUNK2FUNK Recycled Fashion show! Clothes displayed in the show will be made from 50% recycled/repurposed materials. Particpants should register their designs by Monday, November 3, 2014.
