Plastic Bag Recycling Program

Keep Bulloch Beautiful has teamed up with the local Bi-Lo store to offer plastic bag recycling to the Statesboro-Bulloch County community. Currently in its pilot phase, the program offers drop-off points at the City Recycling Center, Pretoria-Rushing Recycling Center, and First Southern National Bank as well as at Julia P. Brant Elementary, Sallie Zetterower Elementary, Southeast Bulloch High, Nevils Elementary, Brooklet Elementary Schools.

Acceptable items include plastic grocery bags, newspaper bags, dry cleaner covers, and bread bags.

Look for white containers with a purple label marked

"RECYCLE PLASTIC BAGS ONLY."

Plans to expand this program include offering drop-off points at all Bulloch COunty Schools and Recycling Centers as well as at any local business that volunteers for the program.
