Bulloch County is the Regional recycling Hub for southeast Georgia making recycling in smaller communities in Candler, Evans, Effingham, Jenkins, Screven, Tatnall, and Bryan Counties easier than ever before.
Residents living within the city limits of Statesboro are currently being offered Single-Stream Curbside Recycling*. Plans are currently underway to expand Single-Stream Curbside Recycling to residents of Brooklet and Portal. Bulloch County recycling centers and school recycling program will continue to operate as normal. Through the regional program, we also encourage private haulers to offer curbside services*** to their customers.
- ***CURBSIDE SERVICE: Bulloch County’s Recycling Processing Facility has been expanded to accommodate material collected single-stream. Single-stream collection means that material (paper, plastic, metal cans) can be collected at the curb in one container using a normal solid waste truck with one compartment. The material is then sorted at the Recycling Processing Facility. Glass, organic waste, and other materials may NOT be included in this program.
